The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health is one of the oldest and most influential schools of public health in the United States. It has yielded a rich historical record that not only speaks to the evolution of the school, but to the development of national and international 20th-century public health efforts.
In 2014, the school partnered with the Center for the History of Medicine to create a full-time Archivist appointment. This partnership has resulted in an increasing number of School of Public Health collections, including:
- Records of Deans and school leadership
- Records of departments and departmental activities
- Professional records of faculty who teach and conduct research in disciplines such as industrial hygiene, nutrition, community mental health, tropical medicine, and global health
